The State of the American Steel Industry

Executives from steel companies and the United Steelworkers were on Capitol Hill to testify before the Congressional Steel Caucus. The witnesses discussed the state of the steel industry and key steel industry policy priorities for Congress and the administration. The meeting was hosted by Steel Caucus Chairman and Vice-Chairman Reps. Rick Crawford (R-AR) and Frank Mrvan (D-IN).

Numerous other members of the Steel Caucus stated their support for the steel industry in their congressional districts, including: Rep. James Baird (R-IN), Rep. Shontel Brown (D-OH), Rep. Nikki Budzinski (D-IL), Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Rep. Ro Khanna (D-IL), Rep. John Mannion (D-NY), Rep. Carol Miller (R-WV), Rep. Mariannette Miller Meeks (R-IA), Rep. Pete Stauber (R-MN),  Rep. Dale Strong (R-AL), Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX) and Rep. Marc Veasey (D-TX).
