Tenaris provides financial support, personal protective supplies to US communities

Tenaris will be giving a financial contribution to the city of Houston and Matagorda County in Texas to help with their respective emergency response to the healthcare crisis. Tenaris’s North American headquarters is based in Houston, where it also has manufacturing facilities. Matagorda County is home to Tenaris’s seamless pipe mill in Bay City, Texas.

In an effort to be more responsive to the current COVID-19 pandemic crisis, steel manufacturer SSAB Americas has announced that it will immediately begin prioritizing production of steel designated for use in local, state or federal-level COVID-19 disaster relief programs or projects.

ArcelorMittal 3D printing ventilators, face shields in coronavirus fight

ArcelorMittal, a multinational steel giant that employs around 10,000 workers in Northwest Indiana, is using 3D printers to make ventilators and face shields to aid in the coronavirus fight in Spain and Mexico.

Nucor & Area Schools Combining To 3-D Print Face Masks

Schools in Nebraska are teaming up with Nucor to produce uniquely created face masks for health care providers. Two years ago, Nucor and local school districts utilized grant money from the state to purchase 3-D printers. Those printers are now hard at work producing face masks to supply to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
