Nucor & Area Schools Combining To 3-D Print Face Masks

Schools in Nebraska are teaming up with Nucor to produce uniquely created face masks for health care providers. Two years ago, Nucor and local school districts utilized grant money from the state to purchase 3-D printers. Those printers are now hard at work producing face masks to supply to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

The USS St. Louis (LCS 19) is the latest littoral combat ship built with ArcelorMittal plate by Lockheed Martin and ArcelorMittal customer Fincantieri Marinette Marine. The ship recently completed its acceptance trials in Lake Michigan and is expected to be commissioned and become part of the U.S. Navy fleet this spring. (Photo by Lockheed Martin)

Navy’s USS St. Louis ready for duty, made with our steel!

The next U.S. Navy littoral combat ship – the USS St. Louis (LCS 19) – recently completed the necessary acceptance trials in preparation for its upcoming commissioning. ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor and ArcelorMittal Conshohocken provided shipbuilding and military-grade plate products for the production of the ship.

Cleveland employees recognized for simple, low-cost energy-saving projects through ‘Power of 1’

For the past several years, ArcelorMittal Cleveland’s energy team has hosted the “Power of 1” energy innovation contest, encouraging employees to propose no- and low-cost ideas to conserve energy at the plant. The winning ideas from three employee teams will save hundreds of thousands of dollars in energy costs.

Nucor and its workers’ giant gift for West Seattle Food Bank

Every holiday season Nucor Steel donates food and money to the local West Seattle Food Bank. This year, after an internal competition, they donated over 9,500 pounds of food. After the company committed to matching the donations, an additional $22,442 was donated to the facility.
