AISI Announces “Steel on the Map” Campaign
October 14, 2024WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) announced the launch of the “Steel on the Map” campaign highlighting the benefits and uses of sustainable American steel in everyday products. The campaign features AISI producer and associate member company stories across the United States through an interactive map. AISI President and CEO Kevin Dempsey applauded the campaign:
“American steel is the cleanest in the world and we are excited to launch this campaign and spotlight the projects of AISI member companies across the country. Steel is necessary for the products that we use every day and makes a sustainable world possible. We hope this map will be a resource for policymakers, customers and other stakeholders to gain more information on steel as the material of choice for the clean energy revolution.”
Examples on the map include steel used in bridges around the country, recycling initiatives and new decarbonization technologies. For more information contact Sarah Bryant Burns at sburns@steel.org.
