The 22nd Annual Great Designs in Steel Symposium Returns May 22

NOVI, Mich. (April 22, 2024) – The 22nd annual Great Designs in Steel symposium (GDIS), hosted by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), will take place Wednesday, May 22, at Suburban Collection Showplace located at 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi, MI. Doors open at 7 a.m. with a continental breakfast buffet. The program begins at 8 a.m. with a keynote address from ArcelorMittal Corporate Business Optimisation and Global Automotive Executive Vice President Brad Davey and a vehicle architecture presentation by General Motors Structure Lead Integration Engineer Dr. Hoda Eiliat.

Attendees will have access to a comprehensive full-day technical agenda organized in three tracks that focus on OEM and EV architectures, materials and manufacturing, and joining, welding and fastening. The more than 30 technical sessions will feature presentations from OEMs including Ford, General Motors and Stellantis as well as major-tier suppliers and academic research institutions.
