American Iron and Steel Institute Announces New Website Search Tool for Past Great Designs In Steel Presentations
June 26, 2023SOUTHFIELD, MI. – The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) today announced that it has launched a new online search tool for Great Designs in Steel (GDIS) presentations from 2018-2023. GDIS is the steel industry’s hallmark event which tens of thousands of steel and auto industry experts have attended over the past 21 years. The new database allows for users to search over 140 presentations on a wide range of topics by using keywords from the abstract or presentation, title of presentation, topic, presenter, company or year.
Chris Kristock, vice president of AISI’s automotive program said, “We have heard from many GDIS attendees over the years that they would like access to specific archived presentations. This tool will enable steelmakers, automakers, engineers and thousands of others who have attended GDIS over the years to access robust content. As the steel and auto industries continue to work together to develop, execute and implement projects that support innovative use concepts for steel products in automotive applications, providing real-time access to these historical presentations helps do just that.”
