to Meet Jointly with Metals Service Center Institute

and publisher of The Cook Political Report is one of the featured
speakers at this year's General Meeting.

AISI will hold
its 114th General Meeting jointly with the Metals Service Center
Institute (MSCI) May 7-9, 2006 in Boca Raton, FL. The General Meeting
provides an opportunity for steel producers and service centers
to strengthen relationships, share ideas and work together to improve
the competitiveness of North American manufacturing.
Erik Peterson,
senior vice president for The Center for Strategic and International
Studies and director of The Seven Revolutions Initiative will deliver
Keynote remarks to kick off the opening joint general session on
May 8. Peterson will provide a thorough examination of seven major
driving forces of change that will challenge participants to think
about how these forces will impact leadership worldwide.
In a second
joint session, AISI and MSCI attendees will hear from North American
steel industry CEOs discussing The Shape of the Global Steel
Industry: 2010. A panel of six to eight steel producer and service
center chief executives will discuss major trends shaping the future
of the global steel industry and how producers and service centers
can work together with their customers on manufacturing competitiveness
issues in North America.
Participants
will also hear from Charlie Cook, editor & publisher of The
Cook Political Report and political analyst for The National
Journal, on the political landscape and the latest analysis
on the 2006 mid-term elections at a luncheon on May 8.
