Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell visits AISI to discuss the importance of investing in infrastructure (9/17/14)

Governor Edward G. Rendell, who served two terms as governor of Pennsylvania from 2003-2011 and mayor of Philadelphia from 1992-2000, addressed AISI’s Policy and Planning Committee this morning about the dire need to rebuild and reinvest in the U.S. infrastructure system.  Currently the co-chair of Building America’s Future,  an organization Rendell helped found with former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Rendell spoke about the need to designate funding to repair our roads, bridges and ports not only for safety and commerce, but to ensure the U.S. maintains its place as a global economic super power.
