REGULO SALINAS, CEO, Ternium Hylsa
Mr. Regulo Salinas currently serves as CEO of Ternium Hylsa (formerly Hylsamex). He is responsible for all operations of Ternium within Mexico, with revenues of $2.3 billion.
He began his career at Hylsa in 1978 as “budget and cost analyst”. He has held several executive positions such as managing director of the Flat Products Division, and the Bar and Rod Division of the former Hylsa. He has also been Vice-president of Sales and Marketing, Vice-president of Administration and Vice-president of Planning.
Mr. Salinas holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Monterrey Tech, in Mexico, and a Master in Business Administration from The University of Chicago, in the US.
He is currently President of Canacero (Camara Nacional de la Industria del Hierro y el Acero) in Mexico, member of the board of directors of Ilafa, and member of the board of directors of AISI (America Iron and Steel Institute) and of the SMA (Steel Manufacturers Organization), both in the USA.
