*We are currently accepting applications*

Download Application here.

AISI is a non-profit, non-partisan trade association representing North America's steel industries. Our mission is to enhance the competitiveness of the steel industry, and to promote steel as the material of choice for the world's consumers.

Interns are an integral part of AISI's Public Policy Team and gain a working knowledge of both the private and public sector. While technically part of the private sector, aiding in the daily representation of steel industry interests in Washington, interns are involved in the action on Capitol Hill. The AISI Internship Program strikes a balance between business and public policy work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Tracking legislation
• Assisting with lobbying activities
• Conducting legislative research
• Attending and reporting on Congressional hearings
• Monitoring media sources for articles on the steel industry

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Initiative
• Strong work ethic
• Sound research and writing skills
• Ability to work within a group and independently
• An interest in politics and government
• Computer skills

CONTACT:
If you are interested in working with AISI's Public Policy Team, please submit the application along with your resume and a writing sample to Christopher Hughes by email: chughes@steel.org, or by fax to 202.463.6573.
