2010 Public Policy Agenda

AISI Mission
The mission of AISI is to influence public policy, educate and shape public opinion in support of a strong sustainable U.S. and North American steel industry committed to manufacturing products that meet society's needs.

Purpose
This Web site contains the official policy views of the American Iron and Steel Institute effective February 11, 2010.  They supersede all previous compiliations.

These policies are the result of industry research, discussions and conclusions of the AISI Public Policy Staff and member organizations of all sizes.  All positions have been approved by the AISI Board of Directors.

Jump and Print
Click on a bullet point to the right to immediately jump to an AISI policy position where you will find, in detail, our request for congressional action and a full pdf for easier printing.  At the bottom of each page, you will find a link to white papers written on the subject matter as well as a link for any SteelGrams requesting action on the topic.
